How to Make $10,000 a Month on the Internet – 6 Ways

If you want to make over six figures a year on the internet this is your blog post.

Let me start by saying I’ve done this many times over. I’ve earned over $1.3M online selling a plethora of offers. I’ve had over 10,000 customers buy my courses, coaching, membership and digital products.

Anything you find here is something I’ve done and/or continue to do. It’s not theory or ideas. It’s based on real results.

Ok let’s talk about how to make $10,000 a month on the internet!

Make $10,000 Method #1 – Coaching

Online coaches such as business coaching, nutrition coaches, life coaches and more charge anywhere from $200 – $3000/month or more for their services.

This will depend on niche, experience, confidence and more.

For example my own coaching falls in the pretty affordable range of $355/month. If I wanted to make $10k/month purely as a coach I’d need 28 monthly coaching clients. This is VERY doable! I practice (and also teach here) Coaching Without Calls.

I love async coaching because I can work with clients, make big impact and not have to book my calendar solid. This allows me to serve clients while also living lifestyle freedom.

Let’s say you love calls, though. It is possible to do 28 calls a week with your clients, especially if you do quick 30 min calls rather than an hour. The goal is to keep clients moving, not have big chats.

Whatever you decide on how you setup your coaching you can reach $10,000 per month as an online coach.

Make $10,000 Method #2 – Courses

Courses allow for great leverage of your time. They are infinitely scaleable because you create them once and sell them again and again. No matter how many sales you get there is no additional work (except maybe more customer support if there are issues with logins, etc).

Creating a course based on what you know is the best way to go here. I’ve seen people trying to create courses out of PLR content or trying to figure out the “best” course to sell.

Courses are not a commodity in my opinion, especially not now with AI being able to direct you on anything you want.

Courses are a compilation of experience, insights and skills that YOU posses. You turn that into something packaged up to help people in a way only YOU can help them.

If you’re already a coach or a service provider you already have workflows and frameworks you can package up into a course. Or if you’ve mastered a skill in your career, home or personal life you can package that into a course.

Course pricing ranges typically from $95 – $3000 or more. I price my courses around $300 and will often do sales in the $95 – $145 range. So let’s say $125 average course sale. I would need 80 course sales a month. Not impossible but does take effort!

Make $10,000 Method #3 – Membership

A membership allows for a monthly recurring income which is really an ideal situation. You won’t have to start your sales from $0 at the beginning over every month. Instead you may be at $100, $1000 or ever $10,000 before you sell another thing!

Years ago I was burning out on course sales and decided I absolutely had to do something about it. I started a membership and ever since then I have constantly recommended to my students that they SEEK out recurring income whenever and where ever possible.

A membership can be big and complicated or it can be focused and simple. I prefer the latter. This is why I do and teach my Quick Class-Based Membership format where I provide one class per month to my membership, a community forum, access to all past training and one or two “do the work” days per month.

You could start even more simply with one class a month. No community, no bonuses. It can be high value just in that one class!

Memberships are priced anywhere from $10/mo – $300/mo and more. Let’s say you go lower priced at $35/mo. You would need 285 members to earn $10,000 per month from your membership. That’s doable! It will take time and effort but you can do it!

Make $10,000 Method #4 – Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is getting mixed in with MLM and Network Marketing and that’s not how I know it. Affiliate marketing as I know it is where you are not tied to any one company or team. You are a free agent signing up for free affiliate programs, on your own. You don’t have a “sponsor” or anything like that.

You get your affiliate link, promote it and you make money.

As an affiliate of a company’s program you will earn a commission set by the company. This can be anywhere from under 10% (like Amazon) to up to 50% or sometimes more in some cases. Recurring commissions are the best because you’ll sell once and keep earning commissions over and over!

Now there’s no standard here on what you can earn in commissions. It could be anywhere from a few dollars to thousands of dollars per sale. I would say a “typical” commision, though, might be $50 or so. So we can work with that.

At an average of $50 per sale you would need 200 affiliate sales per month to earn $10,000 per month on the internet with affiliate marketing.

Possible, but you will need a big audience ready and willing to buy to hit that number every month.

Make $10,000 Method #5 – Services

It’s worth mentioning services here.

And I’ll bring a warning with it. In 2007 I quit my job to be a Virtual Assistant and I quickly let low priced services take over my life! I was working over 60 hours a week for $15 – $25/hr. But I wasn’t even paid for all 60 hours, either, because much of it was marketing, emails or calls I didn’t bill for, etc. So don’t be like me! That year I earned about $24k which was probably less than a single mom like me would make on social assistance.

That said if you can create boundaries and value your worth then you can earn a GREAT living with services online! There are so many potential services – Virtual Assistant, Web Designer, Copywriter, Blog Assistant and more.

Rates range from $25 (low end) to $65/hr. I have a friend who started out at $65 as she valued her skills and she started earning six figures very quickly. So at $65/hr you’d need to work 153 hours per month or 38 hours per week. Very doable!

Make $10,000 Method #6 – Multiple Income Sources

My personal favorite is to combine all of the methods above.

I do not recommend you try to create multiple income streams like I have here all at once, or at the start. Begin with the best option for YOU:

• If you love to buy products that have affiliate programs, you might start there.
• If you know you’d be an awesome coach and have value to give, you could start there.
• If you have a course idea you think will help people greatly, probably start there.

You get the idea. There is no one size fits all here. This is about exchanging value for value in way that serves everyone. Start with what you have to offer and match that with something that people need and you’ll be on your way!

How to SELL The Offers That Make Up $10,000/month

This part is so important.

Yes you need offers and many people start and never leave that step because they get STUCK on sales.

Marketing is getting the word out. Sales is getting the payment.

My favorite sales method is email marketing. And I know most people think email marketing IS marketing. It can be a sales method if you use it that way. One that people HAPPILY respond to and buy your offers from. But you have to set it up for sales.
