Why I left social media for close to a year and how it changed my life:
In 2020 I was growing more and more tired of seeing people turn on each other at a time when everyone should come together.
It was sad to me, frustrating, stressful and just weighing on my mental health. I made the drastic choice to completely leave social media and shut it all down.

It was a really great choice at the time. However I DID come back. After a year or so I felt like I was missing out. So I signed up again to Facebook and Instagram.
But not long after being back I realized the negative effects of always being sucked in. So frequently I take an entire week off of social media. It’s a much needed break!
I was inspired to create this challenge after seeing many people searching how to live without social media and finding my posts about how I did in my year off social.
It might not be practical for everyone to just delete the apps. But a 7-Day Challenge? That’s doable!
